Classroom workshop
Classroom workshops are free and delivered in your classroom. For older pupils this will include journey planning and staying safe around the railway, stations and level crossings.
For younger pupils, the workshop centres round the pick your own path book Arlo’s Adventures, with discussions and a game to reinforce the learning of staying safe around the railway.
Station visit & train ride
Following the classroom workshop your pupils can visit their local train station and take a free return trip on a train (on the GTR network). Please allow several hours for this visit, which could include visiting the signal box at Foxton station.
The train ride could be used to deliver other areas of your curriculum (e.g. comparative geography visiting a different place or history as part of an Evacuation Day experience).
