Known as Foxetune at the time of the Domesday Book, the village’s name means “farmstead where foxes are seen”. It has a wealth of natural and historical features just minutes away from the station.

Church of St Laurence Grade I listed, the present church was started in the 13th century and extended over the following 200 years.

The White Horse is a welcoming, child-friendly country pub with home made food, and a games area with a pool table.
Common Stream
Foxton was the home of Rowland Parker, author of The Common Stream, an international best seller, which recounts the history of Foxton over a period of 2000 years.
