We’d like to thank Dave Ward, Network Rail Route Managing Director for Anglia, for his immediate response to the invitation to come to Foxton to meet local people, and for his clear and forthright acknowledgement of the safety concerns at Foxton Level Crossing. A public meeting at Foxton Village Hall is now being arranged for late May, around the time that we expect work on the pedestrian gates to have been completed – details will be publicized as soon as possible. Other work happening now at the level crossing includes significant improvement to the emergency path, and British Transport Police monitoring of the vehicle barriers. We look forward to further discussion with Network Rail on other remedial work at the crossing.
