Temporary Closure of Meldreth Ticket Office for Refurbishment

Meldreth Ticket Office will be closed from Monday 3rd October for up to 10 weeks for refurbishment.

Whilst works are in progress the only facility for purchasing a ticket will be the Ticket Vending Machine (TVM). The use of smartcards are still available to purchase before attending the station whilst also helping the environment with the reduction of printing paper tickets.

We have asked GTR what rail users should do if they have problems purchasing tickets during the ticket office closure, they have let us know that when the works commence all GTR stations/stations en route will be alerted and can use their discretion whilst managing Ticketless Travel. However, there is no official dispensation to purchase tickets on board or at the final destination so users are urged to purchase tickets online or from the TVM if possible.
