Rail Crossing Closure Proposals

Network Rail are consulting about closing a number of rail crossings in East Anglia including the pedestrian crossing from Barrington Road a short distance to the west of Foxton crossing, and the footpath crossing in the Royston direction from Meldreth station
Cambridgeshire Crossings are detailed in this document:
The Barrington Road crossing proposal is particularly dangerous as it is on the A10 cycle corridor which is being developed along the rail corridor and diversion will destroy the safety of this scheme at this point. We do a large amount of work with the local Community Rail Partnership and Rail User Group and I know local people are upset at your proposals having made these points very clear in the first stage of the consultation as your leaflet in fact acknowledges.
